Introduction

Oracle Enterprise Manager uses the Oracle JInitiator plug-in. Before running Oracle Enterprise Manager within a web browser, you must first install Oracle Jinitiator. Installing Oracle JInitiator is a two-step process:

(1) Downloading the software to your Windows machine.

(2) Installing the software on your Windows machine.

Downloading the Software

Click on the following link to download Oracle JInitiator. Save the file to a location on your system, and make a note of that location.

Installing the Software

To install Oracle JInitiator, follow these steps:

Ensure that all Browser instances on your machine have been terminated.
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the location where you saved the Oracle JInitiator executable and double-click on the executable. This will launch the plugin's installation process.
Upon completion of the installation, you may delete the plugin executable, and Oracle JInitiator will then be available the next time you navigate to the URL for browser-based Enterprise Manager .
